HISTORY AND STAFF
In 1977 after working for 4 years for J. V. Wells Co., Inc. as a Timber Buyer, Pete Richardson became a full time Auctioneer.
Homer Adkins, who had been the Head Clerk for Pete Richardson came to work full time in 1978 and still works in the office 30 years later.
In the late 1970’s Pete Richardson became an approve United States Government Auctioneer, a life time member of the Society of Agriculture Appraisers, and qualified as an expert in Federal and State Court in Real and Personal property values.
From beginning to present, Pete Richardson Auction Sales has conducted Auctions and appraisals for Individuals, Businesses, Attorneys, Banks, United States Government Farm Service Agency and Small Business Administration, Ford Motor Co., Chrysler Credit, Bankruptcy Trustees, Foreclosure Trustees, and the Internal Revenue Service.
The Full time staff of 6 very qualified people and a part time staff more then 18 additional well qualified people give us the Associates we need to conduct a very professional and well run Auction for you.
Over the years Pete Richardson has conducted a wide Variety of Auctions.
In the early 1980’s, Pete sold the First farm sold in the lower Shore for over a $1,000,000. Sold thousands of Residential properties. Including the first lot and sold on the Wicomico River for more then $600,000. Help owners get their property developed and then sold the lots individually. Sold Millions of Dollars in Antiques setting several World Records, in Furniture, Decoys, Silver, China and Collectables. Sold many industrial businesses, saw mills and Machine Shops and Timber and Local Bank Stock.
In partnership with Tom Davis, we started the first quality Standardbred Horse Auction in Maryland.
Pete Richardson and his Associates have done thousands of Benefit Auctions, pro bono, for such groups as Ducks Unlimited, Willards PTA, Salisbury School, for 15 years March of Dimes Festival of Trees, West Side PTA and many Fund Raisers for people with special needs.
As a company Pete Richardson Sales Associates have earned a reputation of being very professional and very good corporate neighbors, donating their time and services to work on many Charitable Auctions.
